What is Soft Tissue Therapy?

Soft Tissue Therapy is the manipulation and rehabilitation of the soft tissues of the body

including muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective fascia.

Soft tissue injury, pain and dysfunction may be the result of everyday activities and postural stresses.

It is also caused by sport, accident, illness and surgery.

Treatment includes a full assessment of the nature and cause of the musculoskeletal discomfort.

Massage and other techniques are then applied to improve the condition of the soft tissues

and improve neuromuscular control.

Advice is then offered for rehabilitation including stretching and strengthening exercises.
